Since so many of us spend so much of our time at work, why not introduce our health and wellness into that work environment?

In a survey conducted during 2012, The Society of Human Resource Management found five major health concerns that employees held. 24% worried about obesity and 15% about a general lack of exercise, 23% where concerned about their stress and mental health issues, and 11% were concerned about chronic disease. This encouraged many employers to introduce wellness programmes within their workplace.

You can also introduce a wellness programme into your place of work by using four small steps. Firstly, by encouraging team building exercise which will improve employee relations. Secondly, improve the environment that you work in by introducing welcoming lighting or lower cubicle dividers. Then, try to obtain on-site health screening services, followed by making exercise such as walking a part of your daily work routine. Health is arguably more important than work, but there’s no reason your can’t incorporate the two! Wellness Within Your Workplace | Good
